Helping The Homeless

Homeless Britain

At least 320,000 people are homeless in Britain.

It is a rise of 13,000, or 4%, on last year’s figures and equivalent to 36 new people becoming homeless every day!

Even before we registered as a charity in 2015, we were actively providing fresh food for the homeless on the streets of Birmingham from 2013.

We have been active in Birmingham City Center everyday 7 days a week, feeding up to 250 people a day from our soup kitchen on Corperation Street.

There is currently no help from the government or local councils as figures suggest.

This is a problem that needs addressing and tackling head on!

We have just purchased an old church building that we are in the process of turning into a self sustaining homeless shelter.

The shelter will be able to hold up to around 40-50 people. The shelter will be kitted out with bunk beds, changing rooms, showers, washing machines and other utilities such as irons etc. There will also be a communal area for socializing and watching TV.

We plan to take people in and provide them with opportunities! We don’t just want to house the homeless, we also want to use this shelter as a transformation center where people can start to rebuild their lives.

There will also be potential jobs available for the homeless within the building such as cleaners and caterers etc.

For this to be sustainable we need your donations.

This will help create these self sustaining shelters up and down the country not just in Birmingham. With 10 of these centers up and down the UK we will be able to pull 500-700 homeless off the street, still just a drop in the ocean! However, as donations grow we can build bigger and house more homeless off the streets.

Your donations will cover things like food, water, clothing, hygiene essentials, rents, bills, bedding and also will help to pay the wages for some of the homeless.

We also plan to pull in barbers, councelors and other services to help the homeless feel like normal people and get them back into everyday life.

Change Their World. Change Yours. This changes everything.
